New Shelves for the Cabin

Alaia Afternoon Shaping

I shaped this piece of Paulonia wood from South Carolina and put some concave in the tail which apparently helps these finless boards gain better traction. I coated it in linseed oil and am preparing for an adventure to test it out.

Japanese Travellers in Saigon

I met these two Japanese guys at the bus station in Saigon as they were getting hounded by taxi drivers.

Easy does it

Apparently exercise and Hinduism do not mix.

Get your Picture with a Python

Snakes are incredible, calm beings; I recently held a huge python and could feel it's blood circulating. This dude's stare happened to be almost as hypnotizing as that of the python.

Cierrebarres Frugivegano

This dude has his eye on some fruit.

Acaba de ver la fruta por alli.

Visit from a Saddhu

Saddhu's are sacred for many Hindi people, they live very simply having little or no posessions.

Ferris Wheel Fun

These kids were having a blast with this squeaky old relic outside KL.

Health Consciousness in Peking

The smoking den is conveniently located next to the clinic.

Airplane Food

This was the last time I'll fly Air China (44 hours with layovers). Luckily they had some fresh fruit on board.

14 Hours in Beijing Airport: 15/02/10

I saw the sunrise and set from the cold glass structure that sits over an hour away from the city. The $200 visa was too much to warrant a day trip in 16 below conditions. Instead I read about life in India as told by Arundhati Roy in The God of Small Things.

Making Cayenne Paste in Bayur Market

They use lots of this chili paste in Sumatra, apparently they add it to everything. This guy is grinding up fresh chili peppers with salt to keep the blood flowing.

Batu Caves, Malaysia

Batu Caves is located just outside Kuala Lumpur & apparently it is a hot spot for the local Hindu community. More of a party atmosphere than western religious events.
